The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Durosinmi Meseko, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the party’s National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, following the death of his mother, Mrs. Lydia Yilwatda.

In a statement released on Sunday, Meseko expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing it as a painful and devastating blow to the APC family, particularly to Professor Yilwatda. He noted that Mrs. Yilwatda’s passing comes at a time when her guidance and prayers were most needed, especially for the new National Chairman.

“The death of Mama Lydia Yilwatda is a great loss, not only to the Yilwatda family but to the entire APC family in Plateau State and across the nation,” Meseko said. “She was a woman of immense grace and a pillar of support for her family and the church.”

Meseko highlighted Mrs. Yilwatda’s significant contributions alongside her late husband, Reverend Toma Yilwatda, in building the church across Borno, Yobe, Bauchi, and Plateau States. He emphasized that she left behind an enduring legacy, which is evident in the remarkable accomplishments of her children.

The Deputy National Publicity Secretary prayed for the repose of Mama Lydia’s soul and asked God to grant Professor Yilwatda and his family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
