Kogi Central senatorial aspirant, Engr. Abdullahi Malik Okino has commended Governor Yahaya Bello and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the successful conduct of a hitch free national convention.
In a statement, Okino hailed Gov. Bello for the role he played as head of sub-committee on security that ensured a peaceful and orderly convention.
He called on party members to remain committed to the progress of APC, enjoining them to always consider the unity of the party before their personal political interest.
“I will like to commend His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for his concerted efforts towards Hajiya Salamatu Baiwa’s emergence as the National Woman Leader. I have no doubt in the capacity of our newly elected National Woman Leader, she has demonstrated to be a woman of virtue right from her days as Head of Human Resources at Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
“Hajiya Baiwa will surely bring her vast wealth of experience and knowledge in public sector to strengthen the party across board and project the course of our great party to greater heights. Her emergence is a plus for Kogi State to have one of their own as member of national party executives,” he said.
