The Executive Director, Africa Youth Growth Foundation (AYGF), Dr Arome Salifu has called on community volunteers of the foundation to be diligent and committed in implementing the World Bank funded Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria (ANRiN) program in Kogi state.
Salifu made the call during an advocacy visit to Attah Igala, HRH Matthew Alaji Opaluwa in Idah.
He informed the monarch that AYGF provides services to the beneficiaries in 111 wards across 10 local government areas in Kogi state.
He appealed to communities to take ownership of the foundation’s intervention programmes.
Salifu explained that AYGF has 7 key areas of intervention to aid nutrition of children, pregnant and lactating mothers.
Attah Igala thanked AYGF, World Bank and Kogi state government the intervention, adding that improved nutrition in children below 5years, pregnant and lactating mothers is key to over all cognitive development of the beneficiaries.
