Ankpa: Martha Charges Councillors, Appointees on Women Inclusion in Politics

The Executive Vice Chairman Ankpa local government council, Martha Moses, has charged all the female Councillors and the appointee under her leadership to improve the participation of women in running the affairs of their various constituencies.

Martha, in a statement signed by her media aide, Ismaila Coded, on Monday in Ankpa, noted that the council is committed to mobilizing women to participate actively in bringing development to their communities. 

She urged all women not to relent in promoting peace and unity and to be ensure they harmonize by carrying other women along in bringing positive development for effective and smooth running of Hon. Ibrahim Abagwu’s administration.

“As a woman, you are the ambassador of peace and unity in your constituency, and you should not relax on the good work we have embarked upon,” she said.

Martha stressed the need for cooperation between all women to join hands for the smooth running of the administration of the executive chairman of Ankpa LG.

Meanwhile, she thanked Governor Yahaya Bello who deemed it fit to positively engage women in Kogi politics and also urged the elected and other female appointees to be progressive minded and to work assiduously on the mandate given to them.

The meeting had in attendance: Hon. Maha Comfort Racheal, Councillor representing Ojoku Ward 4 and also the leader of the council; Hajia Zara Musa, Councillor Enjema 3; Hon. Ummuani, Councilor Ankpa 1; Hon. Memuna Jafaru, Supervisory Councillor on agriculture and solid minerals; Hon. Ramat Aliyu, SSA and Hon. Halimat Imam, SSA on women affairs.
