The Executive Chairman of Ankpa local government area of Kogi state, Hon. Ibrahim Abagwu has congratulated Dr. Salisu Usman Ogbo on his confirmation as the substantive Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja.
In a congratulatory message made available to journalist in Ankpa on Thursday, Abagwu said “we celebrate with you on this milestone you have attained academically and also pray Almighty Allah to strengthen you to discharge your duties effectively.”
According to him, with the appointment of Dr. Ogbo, Governor Yahaya Bello has sustained the steady sail of the State Polytechnic towards becoming a true citadel of learning and research.
“His lofty credentials and recommendation for this appointment underscore the popular expectation that he will discharge the onerous tasks of the office with distinction.
“Dr. Ogbo’s attainments in academics and leadership is an inspiration to Ankpa people and others all over the state who have dreams of distinguishing themselves in their professions and of making remarkable contributions to national development.
“I urge him to continue to be exemplary by bringing his vast administrative and academic experience to bear in working with the management and staff to take the institution to higher academic rankings,” he said.
