The Executive Chairman of Ankpa Local Government Area, Hon. Abagwu Ibrahim has urged Igala Students Association (ISA), Benue State Polytechnic chapter, to shun any crime related activities while in school, noting that the present government will not tolerate any act of criminality.

Abagwu made the call when the association paid him a courtesy visit at the council secretariat yesterday in Ankpa.

He commended the students for finding him worthy of their visit and also for giving him an award of excellence in the area of security.

While responding to their request, he advised them to put it into writing so that it can be documented and for reference purpose.

On his part, the Attah Igala of the Association, Mr. Musa, explained that, “students are eager to pay you courtesy visit and also recognize what you are doing in the council, in terms of security for all of us.

“There is zero crime in the council and also indigenes and non-indigenes can come to do their lawful activities any time any day.

“It is a unanimous decision made by the association to pay a courtesy call to the chairman and as well pass a vote of confidence on him.”

The association, however, appealed to the chairman to help them in the tackling some of the challenges facing Igala students who are studying in Benue Polytechnic and also to offer them some moral advice as teeming youths strive for a better future.
