The Onu Ankpa, Alhaji Abdulmalik Umar has commended the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for his exemplary leadership as demonstrated in the manner he has been piloting the affairs of the state for the benefit of the people.
The monarch made this known when the newly elected Deputy Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly and member representing Ankpa 1 constituency, Hon. Ahmed Mohammed paid him a courtesy visit in his palace on Friday.
The royal father, who had earlier endorsed Gov. Bello for a second term in office, said he is delighted that Ankpa local government area is gradually reclaiming its long lost glory in government.
He thanked the Governor for finding their son, Hon. Ahmed Mohammed worthy of great honour. He commended the Deputy Speaker for always identifying with issues relating to Ankpa LGA anytime a request is made.
The Onu Ankpa prayed for the new Deputy Speaker and urged him not to relent in according the traditional institutions their due respect as custodians of tradition.
