Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Assembly aspirant, Comrade Ismaila Yusuf Atumeyi has commended the Ankpa II PDP Elders committee for their credible efforts at ensuring rancor-free electoral process ahead of 2015 general elections.
In a move to enhance fairness and equity in Ankpa II constituency, PDP leaders forum tasked a group of selected party elders to look into the existing zoning arrangement and the possibility of consensus candidature.
The elder’s committee has zoned the Ankpa II House of Assembly slot to Ejema Ward 1.
Comrade Atumeyi, who hails from Ejema Ward 1, commended the elders for towing the path of honour and high integrity with their decisions so far. “The consensus committee headed by Alhaji Ahmed Emabu has done a marvelous job”, he said.
He urged the committee to take a step further and endorse him as the consensus candidate for the 2015 election. He pledged his support for Captain Idris Wada-led administration in Kogi State and his unalloyed loyalty to PDP.
In the constituency, the opposition All Progressive Congress (APC) is pushing forward a very young aspirant, Rabiu Isiaka, and Atumeyi believes as the youngest aspirant in PDP, he is the best fit to ensure victory for PDP.
