I would like to take this time out, in my unusual attitude, to address a social wretch called Mr Austeen Anibe Otene, whose social body carriage is an aberration of what a true son of the land should be. A tyro bloke with deathless penchant for dissuasion, Anibe never sees anything good in anyone else but in himself.If this ill-treatment of his is not checked, he will radicalise innocent boys and girls, and lead a generation of confused youths to a bottomless chasm.
Anibe is an enemy of Igala nation. He rises up against the growth of Igala men and women, and mobilises insensate youths against them. Thismalady, in William Shakespeare’s words, shouldbe remedied in order to cleanse the land of this strange social filth.
This write up is sane on many grounds and most especially on the ground that it will help situate a ludicrous geezer called Anibe in his proper confinement.
I never knew Anibe or heard his name in any form until he launched a “book” in Abuja in 2019. Then, a brother and a friend, Mr Abdulkarim Musa Itodo, was also preparing to launch his own book at the same venue. We therefore took a journey to where Anibe was launching his impotently plagiarised text to see how books were launched. That was the first time I saw him.
One of the first things I took from him was his self-adulating air of importance. I initially thought the book was a ground-breaking, masterpiece of intelligence, following what the topic typifies. May be because he published a pamphlet containing a compendium of plagiarised, unacknowledged write-ups from different authors he thinks he is the most giant of all Igala sons and daughters, I do not know. What I know without sham is that Anibe is often always threatened by the growth and development of other Igala people.
He does everything within his power to pull them down. One thing he fails to realise is that if we were to all follow him with the same spirit he follows other Igala people, he will have his cosmic existence to regret. I have one thousand and one reasons to fault his lifeline and the plagiarised tissue he published as a book from a roadside publisher, and make him look like a shameless skunk before the world. As an established General English Editor with a reputable book publishing company, University Press Plc, Jericho, Ibadan, I know an original book from a fake one. Anibe is a fake and a confused writer.
Ever since Dr Usman Salisu Ogbo was appointed the Acting Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Anibe Otene has been the leading voice of wizardry and retrogression against the appointment, what Ebira people do not do against their own daughter that was appointed as the VC, KSU. In his many WhatsApp posts, he asked Dr Ogbo to make his doctoral thesis topic, supervisor, external and internal examiners available to him as if he had any social importance to seek these pieces of information from Dr Ogbo. He proudly assured his followers that he would update them as soon as the answers to his query were provided.
One thing I found sickening in his requests was the humanity and the intelligence behind them, and what importance he thinks he exerts. I wonder if he wanted to use the information to promote or to demote Dr Ogbo. This is what I found nauseating and I retorted without a second thought.
Dr Ogbo is worth a zillion more than whatever Anibe thinks he is- put together. A man of many academic and administrative skills, Dr Ogbo has taught people that are currently doing better than Anibe in very many ways. It is Anibe’s predilection for anything debasing that makes him to struggle with rotten political and academic careers. I asked several people if Anibe was ever taught in any higher school, for his written English is a complete jabberwocky. If he is a graduate, then, he is a regret of a graduate. He should go and relearn.
I particularly take this out against Anibe because he takes delight in making a ridiculous show of the worth and importance of many Igala people in positions of authority. A failed politician of want fronts, Anibe thinks he is the be-all and end-all of all things that are Igala. I hope he will turn a new leaf from now onward.
