It is with great sense of solidarity and support to your second term bid
that I write to solicit prompt payment of 2014/2015 bursary.

I sincerely commend you on the numerous achievements recorded by your
Transformation administration with one term in office. While I yet
applaud you on the payment of 2013/2014 bursary, It may interest your
Excellency to know that according to statistics; Kogi State is one of
the least paying states in the country as regards bursary. N3500 is
paid to regular students while those studying Medicine and Law are
paid N5500, this is worth nothing in real sense. There are great
potentials in every Kogite that must be positively harnessed; for
future development and
progress of our dear State.

Your Excellency, it is to my knowledge
that you are a graduate with an M.sc. alongside, and a career civil
servant that got to the pinnacle of civil service as a
proficient aviator. Your Excellency, what is
however strange to the Kogi students is your attitude
towards the rising decline of education in Kogi State and refusal to
pay the 2014/2015 academic session bursary.
To put the record straight, the government of Alhaji Ibrahim Idris
paid bursary to Kogi Students and special grants to Law students of
the state at the Law school during his tenure. And the bursary
assisted us in very many ways. One of the effects then was that Kogi
State Students, were noted for doing very well at the
law school, over the years and products of Kogi across various
institutions are always exclusive. With the aid of former governor
Prince Audu Abubakar, a state owned university was established and it
expedite academic standard in the state.

Ironically, when your Excellency came to power in January 2012, we had
expected that our bursary and other incentives would be enhanced,
following your acclaimed love for education, but the reserve is now
the case, as your administration frustrated the agitation by the
students to have the 2014/2015 bursary paid. This is an irony to your
so-called love for education and disservices to Kogi youths. Again
considering the much politicized and your publicized bid to return for
second term, one may be forced to agree that your programmes are full
of showmanship. Please prove us wrong by kindly paying our 2014/2015
bursary as herein requested.

The Bursary is our birthright and I hereby solicit that your
Excellency graciously pay our bursary for 2014/2015 academic session.

The Governments of both Prince Audu and Ibrahim Idris paid law school
bursary, and that of Wada cannot be an exception.

It is our hope that the education loving Governor of Kogi State,
Captain Idris Wada responds positively to this lawful demand, by
graciously paying our bursary, I also join millions of Kogites in
wishing you the best outcome at the forthcoming primaries.
