I’m pleased to write my brothers and sisters from Yagba extraction ahead of the forthcoming senatorial poll slated for February 14th,
2015.
As far as I’m concern, Okun nation is indivisible nation from time immemorial and I don’t think politics should be allowed to break us
because politics will come and go thereafter.
To be sincere, Kogi West Senatorial seat is for all and sundry and on that note, I don’t blame you people for agitating for the said overt
position but the approaches applied are cruel.
As we all know that Kogi West Senatorial District is comprised of three Federal Constituencies viz Lokoja / Kogi-Koto, Kabba- Bunu /
Ijumu, Yagba and each of these has gotten two shots at the Senate I.e Senator Justus Olu and Senator Sunday Bolorunduro Awoniyi (Yagba), Senator Ado Shaibu and Senator Tunde Ogbeha (Lokoja/Kogi-Koto), Senator Joe Obasaju and Senator Smart Adeyemi (Kabba-Bunu / Ijumu).
As it is now, it could be anybody’s chance base on our past political antecedent.
Also, I can tell you authoritatively that the said senatorial slot has never been zoned previously, from 1999 to date, it has always been
contested by aspirants from all the three constituencies, both at Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) primaries and main elections, the
details are available.
Let us all support Senator Smart Adeyemi’s third term agenda and ambition now and hope for “Better Yagba Future”.
Although, i’m not saying Senator Smart Adeyemi is the best but he’s one of the best and his effective representation on the floor of the
Senate and the dividend of democracy to our people back home has proved that.
Name callings, insults, wrong accusations and allegations, distractions etc is never part of our culture.
Okun is one big entity nothing like Gbede, Ijumu, Owe, Bunu, Yagba, Amuro etc as far as I’m concerned.
