On behalf of the entire Kogites from the three senatorial districts of Kogi state who reside in Lagos state, we want to official bring it to the attention of the the current administration of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo that his subject in Lagos state are really lagging behind whenever a need arises for activities surrounding ‘State of origin document’.
Kogi residents in Lagos state are facing this challenge for some years now.
From the information made available to the public, the Kogi State Liaison Office in Lagos was sold as a trash by the former Governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for reason (s) best know to him then.
His Excellency Sir, we’re appealing through your honourable office to channel this concern to the ministry responsible for the retrieval of the said office to immediately visit the Lagos state liaison office located at Bishop Oluwole street, Victoria Island, Lagos State Nigeria.
Please find out the challenges that lead to the inactive state of the remaining building and help us to retrieve it to reduce the inconveniences facing your subjects in Lagos state.
The state origin document is a continuous exercise and we can’t afford to be traveling to Kogi state always in this regards while some of these documents can be done here if the office is actively okay.
From inquiries, the entire office wasn’t sold, but it’s unfortunate that the remaining office is not effective.
Now, Kogi state indigenes in Lagos state can no longer visit the liaison office to carry out state origin functions.
Kogites in Lagos state will only get the service when they travel to Kogi and visit their respective local government areas which poses serious inconveniences.
We are calling on the Kogi state government to please look into this and swing into action and ensure that the Kogi state liaison office in Lagos state is retrieved to serve her people.
Please kindly accept this humble appeal from Kogi state concerned citizens in Lagos state and act on it.
