Lokoja 1 Constituency, Kogi State House of Assembly aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Babasule Dansarki, a.k.a. Babanda  has expressed sadness over the death of former Lokoja local government council chairman, Hon. Aliyu Baba Usman, saying Kogi has lost a patriotic son who had contributed immensely to the development of contemporary politics in the state.
Babanda, in a statement, described the deceased as one of the most accommodating, generous and refined politicians Lokoja local government area has produced, adding that politics will never be the same without the jocular banter of the deceased.
“Lokoja LG, and indeed the state at large, will miss the wise counsel of Hon. Aliyu Baba Usman.
“For Usman, politics was never a do or die affair, but a vehicle for service to the people.
“On behalf of my family, I condole the people of Lokoja 2 Constituency and the immediate family of the deceased.
“May Allah forgive all his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest, and grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss,” the statement reads.
