Alhaji Abubakar Rajab, a man who devoted his life to serving poor and neglected people in society. He has devoted himself to various initiatives promoting Islam, Peace and Human’s Right. He has also adopted strong positions on pacifism. He was later criticized for his politics and as an ardent fan to Jibrin Isah Echocho, in reply he said “ he knew nothing of left and right, the only extreme I support is upwards towards heaven ”.
He had a great effect in many lives that he touched . He is truly a sincere and compassionate person. His divine ecstasy and devotion attracted many observers and followers. He stood for the ideals of serving others and living up to the Muslim philosophy of “doing unto others as you would have done to yourself ”. However, Alhaji Abubakar Rajab remained committed to the ideals of non violent struggle and for his humanitarian work and environmental charities he has received numerous awards.
He is an inspirational and influential speaker ; he had the capacity to move and uplift his audiences . In particular he could offer a vision of hope. He captured the injustice of the time but also felt that this injustice was like a passing cloud. Alhaji Abubakar Rajab frequently made references to Almighty Allah, the Holy Qur’an and his Muslim Faith.
He is someone who actively engages in promoting human welfare and social reforms, and who has no prejudice with human suffering on grounds of gender, ethnicity, and religious or national divisions. Rajab’s goal is to save lives, relieve suffering, and maintain human dignity. This, he has done in the form of rescuing and providing safety for refugees, providing shelter and food for the needy or help people in the aftermath of natural disasters or civil unrest.
He battle poverty, hunger and violence in some of the most inhospitable situations, locations and climates and he persevere despite the risks of kidnappings, death threats, murder, and other deadly and abusive behaviour from the communities he work within.
WHAT DOES ABUBAKAR RAJAB DO?
He promote human welfare and ideas of people; he bring about change in the normal behavioural patterns of a society and help to aid by giving necessities for those in need. Necessities from he could be in the form of money, food , water , clothing, shelter , equipment and medical supplies which give relief to people in unfortunate and desperate situations.
At the end of the day, he does not look for glory or praise. His main goal is to make a difference in the world he live in, to make someone’s life better than what it is , and to ease the plight of people that have little hope.
