ALGON Restates Confidence in Ndamodu Ali

Local Government Councils in Kogi State have passed a vote of confidence on the state commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barrister Ndamodu Ali.

The Chairman of Ajaokuta Local Government, who doubles as the state chapter chairman of the Association of Local Governments in Nigeria (ALGON), Mr. Aloysius Okino made the remark in Lokoja during the monthly Joint Allocation Committee meeting.

The ALGON Chairman, who spoke on behalf of his colleagues, said that the commissioner has had very cordial relationship with local government administrators since he assumed the leadership of the ministry.

He said that the commitment and passion of Hon. Ali in the performance of his duties and management of resources was legendary, urging him to sustain the tempo.

Hon. Okino pointed out that the commissioner would continue to receive the support of the state ALGON to ensure that the present transformation of the local government system is sustained.

Responding, the commissioner thanked the state ALGON for the confidence reposed in him, maintaining that he would do everything within his powers to sustain the existing cordial relationship with local government administrators in the state with a view to ensure that they meet the expectations of the people at the grassroots.

He reiterated his commitment to the implementation of the transformation agenda of the state governor, Captain Idris Wada, saying that the local government areas are central to this transformation agenda.
