Member representing Ajaokuta Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Lawal Idrisu has released the required funds to Ajaokuta Steel Company (ASCO) camp welfare committee for the purchase and complete replacement of the decayed water pipes.
With the intervention of Hon. Lawal, the incessant water problem in the camp is expected to be solved.
Speaking with Kogireports.com, a resident of Ajaokuta and stakeholder in the water project, Engineer Usman Tauhid, confirmed that monies required for the water project has been released by the Federal lawmaker. He assured that the project will not be delayed.
Engineer Tauhid hinted that Hon. Lawal Idirisu’s solar powered street lights project was recently completed in Ajaokuta native town while work on streetlights in Eganyi district, comprising eight wards, is ongoing. He confirmed that similar projects will be executed in Ebiya district, part of Geregu ward, Upake and Adogu/Ogodo wards very soon.
