Ahead of the 2027 general elections, leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State have formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for second terms in office.
The endorsement took place at a massive rally held on Saturday at the Muhammadu Buhari Civic Centre in Lokoja, which attracted party stalwarts, political leaders, and enthusiastic supporters from across the state.
Speaking on behalf of the people of Kogi Central Senatorial District, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, the member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, commended the achievements of President Tinubu and Governor Ododo. He lauded their commitment to good governance and assured that the people of Kogi Central would deliver overwhelming votes for both leaders in the forthcoming polls.
Hon. Sanni also expressed appreciation to former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for laying a strong developmental foundation, noting that Governor Ododo is building upon that legacy to advance progress across the state.
In his address, former Governor Bello praised President Tinubu’s leadership and formally moved the motion for the endorsement of both President Tinubu and Governor Ododo for second terms in office. The motion received unanimous support from all party members present.
Responding, Governor Ododo expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for providing a national model of good governance that has guided his administration. He noted that the achievements of his government are sufficient to secure victory for the APC in Kogi State, urging the President not to worry about campaigning in the state ahead of the 2027 elections.
