The member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem has launched a Mega Empowerment Program aimed at boosting economic growth and self-reliance among constituents.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Sanni described the initiative as “a defining moment in our collective journey toward economic emancipation.” He noted that the program was designed to empower youths, women, farmers, traders, persons with disabilities, and the elderly.
The lawmaker provided ICT training and startup grants for youths, business tools for market women, and grants for vulnerable women to start small-scale enterprises. He also announced a monthly stipend of ₦10,000 for 200 elderly citizens and distributed farm inputs, tricycles, motorcycles, and deep freezers exetra to promote agriculture, transportation, and small businesses.
Hon. Sanni commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for creating “a fertile ground for development” in Kogi State, citing key projects such as the Free Trade Zone, Eganyi–Ebiya Road, and five ongoing LNG projects in Ajaokuta He also appreciated former Governor Yahaya Bello for laying the foundation for the state’s current growth.
Reaffirming his commitment to effective representation, Hon. Sanni promised to continue delivering the dividends of democracy through impactful legislation and people-oriented projects.
“We are not just distributing items; we are planting seeds of prosperity,” SEA reteiriated, urging beneficiaries to use their empowerment packages wisely.
The event attracted party leaders, traditional rulers, youth and women groups, and hundreds of beneficiaries who hailed the lawmaker for his inclusive leadership.
