The chairman, Ajaokuta Local Government Area, Kogi State, Aloysius Adeiza Okino, has restated his administration’s commitment to effective service delivery to the people of the area.
Okino who is also the chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigerian (ALGON), Kogi State chapter, gave the assurance when he led the people of the council on a thank you visit to the state working committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He added that various interventions by the council in the areas of health care delivery, improvement in education facilities and the rehabilitation of rural roads were in fulfillment of his electioneering promises to the people of the area.
The council boss added that within his first 100 days in office, his administration had constructively engaged the youths through youth development programmes which he said was responsible for the peace in the area.
He said his visit to the party leadership was to say thank you for the support given to him and the councilors during the election and to further solicit political guidance.
The state chairman of the party, Alhaji Hassan Salawu, called on all other council chairmen in the state to emulate the leadership style of Mr. Okino.
He said it was on record that Okino was the first chairman to pay a visit to the secretariat of the party after election, saying that the state working committee would remain grateful for the honour.
He called on the chairman to sustain the tempo of development beyond his first 100 days in office, so that the people would continue to see reason to vote for the PDP and its candidates.
