The Administrator of Ajaokuta local government area, Honourable Mustapha Akaaba and his team has embarked on “Operation Feed My People” project in the various political wards of the local government.
Hon Akaaba, who made this known to this reporter, stated that the welfare of his people is his priority.
He stated that he will try as much as possible to ensure that his people have no regrets on the mandate given to him.
“I am here in fulfillment of that very promise to feed my people and to make sure that in my administration, my people experience healthy living standards. I keyed into the principle that, if you can’t give from a hundred Naira, you can’t give from a million Naira also “, he said.
He donated bags of rice and a cow to each district. He gave out rams to religious leaders, royal fathers and political leaders across the local government area.
Akaaba enjoined the people of Ajaokuta to support Governor Yahaya Bello and the New Direction team, stressing the need for peace and tranquility within this period of economic crunch to bring in sustainable development in the State.
Also speaking, the APC Chairman Ajaokuta LGA, Hon. Hussein Balogun, praised the good gesture of Hon. Akaaba urging him to keep up the good work he has started.
He urged the people of Ajaokuta to support the New Direction mandate of Hon Akaaba.
“This is the first of its kind in Ajaokuta city and I pray that the chairman will keep up with his steps to write his name in the hearts of his people “.
