The Aiyegunle Gbede Descendants Union (AGDU) has expressed gratitude to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and his Deputy, COmrade Joel Salifu Oyibo for gracing the grand reception ceremony held in honor of Prof. Nasir Naeem Abdulsalam, the newly appointed Managing Director of Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited.
Ahmed-Ade Fatai, the National President of AGDU, said the event, which took place in Ayegunle Gbede, Ijumu Local Government Area, remains a historic and memorable day for the community.
AGDU also thanked the former Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, for his unwavering support and gracious presence.

Wemi Jones; Hon. Asiwaju Idris Ashiru; Hon. Sunday Faleke; and other distinguished state officials and dignitaries who graced the occasion with their presence and goodwill.
“We are especially grateful to our highly revered traditional rulers whose presence added immense honour to the event, the Obaro of Kabba, Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi; the Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom, Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni; the Olugbede of Gbede Kingdom, Oba Olusegun Oloruntoba; the Olu of Aiyegunle Gbede, Oba Lateef Folorunsho Haruna, and other royal fathers who stood by us in solidarity and celebration,” the statement issued by AGDU on Wednesday read.
Special thanks was accorded Okun Concerned Citizens for organizing the remarkable and unifying event.
AGDU called for continued prayer for Prof. Nasir and Aiyegunle Gbede community, assuring that the dividend will get across to all and sundry, both in direct and indirect ways.
