The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation has reinforced its commitment to public sector reform by serving as the Diamond Partner at the inaugural International Civil Service Conference (ICSC), which is taking place in Abuja from June 25–26, 2025. The partnership strengthens the Foundation’s ongoing collaboration with the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF).
The ICSC brings together public sector leaders from across Africa to share ideas, exchange innovations, and build partnerships for better governance. This year’s edition marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s civil service reform journey, with the Foundation playing a central role.
Over the years, the Foundation has partnered with the OHCSF to drive impactful reforms. These include co-developing the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP25), launching digital transformation initiatives, and investing in training programmes to upskill civil servants. One of the Foundation’s core goals is to build a cadre of 3,000 highly capable civil servants over the next decade.
In a statement on Tuesday, Executive Vice Chair of the Foundation, Ofovwe Aig-Imoukhuede, said: “This collaboration reflects our belief in the power of a world-class Civil Service to shape Africa’s future. The Foundation remains committed to building a public sector that truly delivers for all Africans.”
A key highlight of this year’s Civil Service Week is the expansion of the Emily Aig-Imoukhuede Endowment Fund. The Fund, established by the Foundation, celebrates civil servants who embody excellence, integrity, and innovation.
Two new award categories were introduced this year: the Presidential Civil Service Merit Award, with a ₦500,000 prize, and the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation EPIC Award, offering ₦250,000. Since it was launched, the Fund has recognised 111 civil servants, awarding over ₦50 million.

Beyond recognition, the Foundation has supported the digitalisation of the OHCSF—an initiative that has sparked similar reforms across other ministries, departments, and agencies. This push for digital transformation has been backed by formal agreements (MOUs) to broaden the effort nationwide.
With its support for the ICSC and ongoing initiatives, the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation continues to position Nigeria as a leader in public sector innovation and governance across the continent.
