The Special Adviser to Governor Yahaya Bello on Job Creation and SMEs, Hon. Danladi Sulaiman Aguye has commended the business community and captains of industries in Kogi State.
Aguye made the commendations while addressing representatives of Dangote Cement and other stakeholders in Lokoja.
He said his office scheduled the interaction to find away of partnership with their organizations in order to discuss away of reducing the high level unemployment in the state.
“We have convened this meeting to discuss on the ways we can partner to better the lives of Kogites which may be in terms of direct/indirect employment, training, skill acquisition, scholarships, soft loans to our small & medium scale enterprises, cottage and modular industries and other social responsibilities at our disposal,” he said.
Commending them for honouring his invitation despite their tight schedules, Aguye called on them to assist by creating employment opportunities in their various organizations.
Responding, representatives of Dangote Cement Plc, Elder Ade Anlemi, reiterated the company’s commitment to the new agenda for socioeconomic development of the state and promised to partner with the office of the special adviser.
He noted that Dangote Cement company have a lot of windows of opportunities that remained untapped and assured of the full cooperation of Dangote Cement Plc through the company’s existing vocational training and development platforms.
In his own contribution head of salaries at Industrial Training Centre (ITF) Lokoja training centre, Mallam Ibrahim Haruna commended Aguye who he describe as hard working and intelligent administrator.
He explained that the organization is ready to partner with the state government in the areas of training, and skill acquisition at subsidised price.
The meeting was attended by the Special Adviser to Kogi state governor on Multilateral Donor Agencies and the state focal person for the SIP, Hon. Abdulkareem Oyenkehi, Hon. Akoh Jacob, SSA to the governor on MSMEs andĀ permanent secretary Ministry of Commerce, the state chairman of SMEsĀ and a host of among others.
