The newly appointed Permanent Secretary of the Kogi State Ministry of Information and Communications, Mr Ebenezer Adurodija, has assured staff of his preparedness to work round the clock to bring tremendous and positive developments to the Ministry.
Mr Adurodija took over from the Acting Permanent Secretary, Mr Abdul Yakubu, on Friday at the State Secretariat Complex, Lokoja.
Speaking after the handing over, Adurodija said through massive support from Governor Usman Ododo and the Commissioner of the Ministry, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo, improved staff welfare is guaranteed.
He expressed expressed gratitude to Governor Ododo and the Head of Civil Service, Pastor Elijah Evinemi, for the display of professionalism in the appointments, which were based on merit.
He emphasized his readiness to work hand in hand with all the staff of the Ministry but warned rumour mongers and sycophants as he would not condone gossip and laziness, charging everyone to remain committed and diligent in their official duties.
The former Acting Permanent Secretary, Mr Abdul Yakubu, charged the newly appointed Permanent Secretary to ensure that all parts of the organisation work together smoothly to implement government laws and manage the resources efficiently.
The Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kogi State Chapter who also doubles as the Director News and Publication, Alhaji Ademu Seidu, in his goodwill message, appreciated Governor Usman Ododo for giving the ministry one of their own as the Permanent Secretary, assuring the newly appointed Permanent Secretary of their collective support.
The Director Information Services, Mr Sunday Adeniyi, in his goodwill message, commended His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ododo, Head of Civil Service, Mr Elijah Evinemi and the Commissioner of the Ministry, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo for all the proper and unbiased procedures for appointments describing Mr Adurodija’s appointment as well deserved.
The Kogi Information Chapel’s Chairman, Mallam Shuaibu Abubakar, described the appointment of Mr Adurodija as a testament to his hard work, resilience and dedication to his official duties wishing him success in his new office.
