It is with rude shock that I received the news of the passing away of one of Kogi’s finest politician and an exemplary figure whose life was lived serving the society. Sad to say but until his death, he remained an unrivalled Democrat with an admirable all welcoming prowess.
On a very worthy note, death is a door which every soul must pass through but the instance of Hon Adinoyis is one that saddens down the bone marrow. More worrisome is the fact that it is occurring at about the same time and manner our very own Ocholi SAN passed away last year.
Indeed, no idea is as unique as the idea of serving humanity and therefore; amidst the grief of our hearts and the gnashing of our teeths, I find solace in observing that the deceased passed away in good testimony and endeavor.
It is a teaching of the Lord to “rejoice with those who rejoice and to mourn with those who mourn”. Hence, having lost his life in a cold blooded incident whilst on his way to celebrate with someone in joy. It is my hope that God will accept his soul as a martyr and provide for those he has left behind.
Finally, I want to extend my unreserved condolences to the government and people of Kogi State, his immediate family, friends and accolites over this loss. May God give us all the fortitude to bear the loss.
Rest on our leader!
