The Executive Chairman of Adavi Local Government, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami, has congratulated the newly graded and upgraded traditional rulers by Governor Yahaya Bello
In his congratulatory and appreciation message through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Engr. Jamiu Habeeb, the Council boss described the gesture as a great achievement that will add more value to the traditional councils in Kogi State.
He commended Governor Bello for his courage, equity, equality, and unbiased skillful leadership.
The council chairman added that he will continue to emulate Governor Bello’s leadership and complement his efforts at the grassroots.
“We will continue to ensure that the already established justice, unity, peace and oneness under the leadership of His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello is sustained in Adavi.
“I congratulate the royal fathers from my domain on their well-deserved upgrade. My royal father, the Adeika of Ezionogu who was upgraded from 3rd class to 1st class; Asema of Aniku, who was also upgraded from 2nd-1st class; and Asema of Ezuka Evini from 2nd-1st. The IDU of Atami, Otu of Adeika, and Ohizi of Adeika were also graded Third Class.
“This gesture will gear our traditional rulers to be supportive to their various communities. To whom much is given, much is expected.
“This upgrade serves as a reminder that the government has great respect for the traditional institution and it has become a necessity that the traditional institution reciprocates by supporting the government,” he said.
