The acting secretary of the Kogi State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. John Anjorin has been described as a father to all.
The special adviser on political matters to Kogi State Governor, Chief Pius Kolawole made this known when the Centre for Ethical Conduct, Orientation and Empowerment (CECOE) honoured Anjorin.
Kolawole, represented by Otunba Kolade Samuel at the event, said the award conferred on Anjorin was well deserved.
Director of CECOE, Comrade Owah David Adekunle emphatically stated that the extra ordinary efforts and giant strides of Hon. John Anjorin is what called their attention and his overwhelming compliance to ethical responsiveness is what has motivated them to honour him.
“All Progressive Congress as a political party is a mysterious movement which is not too old but highly powerful to be the ruling party at the Federal level and in majority of the States, including Kogi State. We are not oblivious of your leadership prowess and ability proven over time, judging from the unavoidable political differences and grieve which surrounds the party and the aftermath of the divine mandate that brought Governor Bello on board as the Governor which men tried to challenge. But in the real sense, can we question God?
“In the midst of these segregation and lingering interest based issues, you have portrayed a high level of leadership Spartan virtues and adequate management of the crises, played a godly and exemplary leadership role borne out of your love for the party; to restore peace and unity back to the party against all odds,” he said.
The State Deputy Women Leader, Mrs Deborah Isah Omade and others, reacted that the award is not a misplaced priority, it is well deserved.
The award recipient, appreciated CECOE for recognising him, pledges this will spur him to do more to the society if given more opportunities to serve. He dedicated the award to Governor Yahaya Bello whom he described as uncommon leader with tenacious desire to develop Kogi state.
