The running mate to the governorship candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) Hon. Henry Ojuola has stated that a vote for ACN in the December 3 election would fast-track development and good governance in the state that has been yearning for a change for the past eight years of the PDP administration.
The running mate made the assertion yesterday in lokoja at the headquarters of the Campaign office in a chat with journalists saying that the return of the former Governor of Kogi State prince Abubakar Audu to Lugard House will
restore development and sanity to governance.
Ojuola who is a current member of Kogi State house of assembly revealed that the ACN takeover will passionately ensure
that the welfare of civil servants would be accorded top priority adding that the former Governor has learnt his lessons from the crisis that rocked the civil service during his 2003- 2007 administration noting that his has accepted responsibility for the mal-treatment of the state civil servants.
The law maker turned running mate, hinted further that the government of (ACN) under prince Abubakar Audu will
collaborate with foreign and local investors , agencies, organizations to absorb high rate of unemployed youths through a concerted effort to create enabling environment for the creation of massive employment generation for the youths who are the bedrock of development..
According to him the administration of Prince Abubakar Audu on the platform of the Action congress of Nigeria will commission a study to reveal the available resources in all nook and crannies of the state with a hope to exploring the mineral resource in the state with collaboration with foreign investors and the organized private sector.
He stated that under the public private partnership policies of the ACN modern infrastructures, constructions of modern road networks and the establishment of several industries that will take the peculiarity of the state into consideration so as to reduce the high incidence of unemployment in the state.
He added that Education which is the bedrock of development, which have been neglected by the present administration would be revamped and restructured to meet the exigencies of our time stressing that prince Abubakar Audu had a track record for excellence in educational sector as demonstrated by the establishment of Kogi state university and the state polytechnic which were the handiwork of his administration.
