The Achadu Oko Ata Igala and Prime Minister Igala Kingdom, His Royal Highness Ali Yusuf Atama Ameadaji has called on all traditional rulers under Achadu Ruling Dynasty and their subjects to embrace peace and unity.
The Achadu Oko Ata made the call at his palace in Igalaogba, Idah in a meeting with all traditional rulers and stake holders of Achadu Ruling Dynasty.
The traditional ruler called on all sons and daughters of Achadu clan, both home and in the diaspora, to forget past misunderstandings and work for the progress of Achadu chiefdom, as their clan lags behind in development.
To bring about permanent peace among his subjects, the Achadu set up a panel of enquiry to look into irregularities in the management of Achadu fiefdom and to reorganize and streamline general land administration in Achadu territory in Igala land.
The panel headed by Professor Williams S. Onogu, Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Prince Abubakar Audu University, has Chief Simon W. Oyibo as secretary.
The Prime Minister tasked the panel to reconcile all aggrieved members and ensure all court cases are withdrawn back to his palace for settlement, urging the panel to carry out their assignment without fear or favour.
Speaking on behalf of the panel chairman, a member of the panel Dr. Jonathan Okpanachi, the Amana Achadu and Onu Okula, thanked the Achadu Oko Ata for the confidence repose in them and promised that the panel will not disappoint him.
Chief Jonathan used the opportunity to call on the people of Kogi State to embrace peace during and after the November 11, 2023 Governorship Election in Kogi State.
Present at the meeting were all the traditional rulers and stake holders of Achadu Dynasty in Igala land.
