Academic Standard: Silver Valley International College Has No Rival in Kogi State – Chief Oshagbemi

The Chairman, Board of Governors of Silver Valley International College, Kabba, Chief Joseph Oshagbemi has said the college has no rival in Kogi state based on the academic standard and moral upbringings, learning environment and discipline in the school

Chief Oshagbemi who was the Chairman of the occasion made this known while delivering his message at the 2023 Silver Valley International College, Kabba Graduation/Speech and Prize-Giving ceremony held at the college premises in Kabba, the headquarters of Kogi West Senatorial district.

The Chairman, Board of Governors commended the proprietor of the college, Engr. Zacc Tunde Olorunnaiye for establishing the college in Kabba which he noted has contributed immensely to the development of the area.

He commended the college management and staff for putting in their best, stressing that the college population has increased tremendously because of their hard work and team spirit in the discharge of their duties. He congratulated the principal and staff of the college for the Successful outing of the college in the recent released JAMB results where some of the college students scored over 300 points where others scored over 200 points respectively.

Chief Oshagbemi charged the graduating students to be good ambassador of the college and always choose the path to greatness and success in life.

He commended the parents for investing on their children, assuring them that the knowledge they have acquired at the college will take them to a great hight and pray that their efforts will not be in vain. He appeal to the parents to continue to watch over them even after leaving the college, noting that discipline and hardwork will bring success and greatness.

Earlier, the Principal of the college, Mr. Adebija Vitus thanked God the Almighty for for the good health, protection and academic endeavours of the graduating students throughout their stay in the noble College.

The principal appreciated the college proprietor, Eng. Zacc Tunde Olorunnaiye for his commitment towards ensuring the progress of the college and consistently ensuring that the college sets the pace in the academic sphere in the state.

Mr Adebija thanked the Board of Governors for their contribution towards the academic and moral growth of the college. He also appreciated the parents/guardians of the graduating students for their commitment on the students.

The principal said the hardworking teaching/non teaching staff members have gone a long way at ensuring the academic leadership of the college currently enjoys in the state especially in the recent JAMB results of 2023 where two of their students: Masters Abdulaleem Adam and Benjamin Jimoh scored over 300 points and sixteen others scored over 200 points.

He assured that the college will not rest on their oars to sustain the academic and moral successes currently being enjoyed by the school.

The principal congratulated the graduands and pray for success in their future endeavours. He pray that as they pursue their various careers, God will grant them quick admission into tertiary institutions and charge them to be good ambassador of the college anywhere they find themselves.

Highlight of the ceremony was good will messages and the presentation of gifts to outstanding staff and students in JAMB and each subjects.There was cultural display from different groups and also presentation from some students of the college.
