They are here with us. They joy in our praises. You see the masses call them names such “Maigida, Bouillon, Mazi, Chief, Ebora…” All it takes to finish off a good dream is one stupid fool. If such a fool can brave through his/ her folly, then there is no telling how much damage that can be done. In my little time here on earth, I have never seen a genuine borrower who goes about priding in how he intends to marry more wives and cater for more children if he is given say; a hundred thousand naira loan.
Unfortunately, foolish exist realms and spheres. Life is a delicate simple thing. It is filled with idiots and with wise folks. The problem with Nigerian is that the bulk of the population are unconscious fools. Think it this way, we all know that our leaders have done us bad but we lack the wherewithal to put a stop to it. The former submission is arguable because Aba women riot of 1929 disproves my submission and also the not-long-ago Lekki toll gate massacre.
These pot bellied big men are the real demons. You need to see how they buy up all the latest Mercedes, Bugatti…yet, when it comes to the home front, the most generous of them all buys motorbikes for the youths in the village. I hope you get itbecause if you don’t, you need not worry because you may be heading for folly at forty. Tell me! When was the last time you saw astonishing and reachable development void of political praises? I mean, these men joy in putting up rickety roads, flyovers…It is still there somewhere in Aba, Abia state.
I hate to swear it but is there really a difference between a spotless goat and the one with a spot? Whatever you conclude, I hope you apply some more wisdom when you go about waging war against those whose modus operandi is “there is no permanent enemies and there is no permanent friends, interest wins it all”. Ah! I read about a man who went about building bridges. He chose not to build a house. How generous! few months ago, he was fed in the houses of those he hitherto dislikes.
Who is the bigger fool? The led or the leader. I am not sure I know. If you don’t get it, then forget it. A word they say is enough for the wise. But a fool needs a million words.
