Abejide Pledges to Support Olujumu’s Palace With N30m

Candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the November 11 Kogi state governorship election, Hon. Leke Abejide, has pledged the sum of N30 million to support the building of a befitting palace for the Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni.

Abejide made this known when he visited the Ijumu paramount ruler at the Palace to seek royal blessings.

He commended the Olujumu for maintaining peace in his domain, saying the pledge was part of his support for the maiden Ijumu Cultural Festival.

He lauded the organizers for the foresight at bringing back the lost glory of culture and traditions of the area, describing it as a step in the right direction.

Responding, the Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom, His Majesty, Oba Williams Olusegun Ayeni prayed God to grant Elder Abejide success at the polls and thanked him for the pledge.

Indigenous Ijumu Cultural Festival, scheduled for November 4th 2023 at Iyara, will attract dignitaries from all walks of life and is first of its kind in the history of the Local Government. The event will also feature launching of N250 million appeal fund for the building of palace for the revered paramount ruler.
