Sequel to the dissolution of the Local Government Administrators in Kogi state, the former helmsman, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad, on Wednesday, handed over the baton of power to the Director of Local Government (DLG) in line with the state government directive.
In a brief ceremony in his office, the former Council Administrator used the opportunity to thank the management and staff of the local government for their cooperation and support received so far as the Administrator which he said were pivotal to the achievements he recorded while in office.
The former Council boss said he is leaving the office with confidence that the DLG and his team will pilot the affairs of the Council in the best interest of the people.
In their separate remarks, the Director of Local Government (DLG), Mr. Sunday Henry Ajeh, NULGE Chairman, Comrade Ahmad Tijani Audu and the Deputy Director (Administration), Mr. Aliyu B. Kashim took time one after the other to eulogise the unique qualities of Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad whom they described as a friend, a leader and a mentor.
The DLG laid emphasis on his humility, patience, achievements and his peaceful disposition.
He assured the former Council Administrator that the entire management and staff of the local government look forward to have him back to the office as the next executive Chairman.
