The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Prof. Salisu Ogbo Usman, has extoled the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Umar Aliyu Yusuf, describing him as “a visionary leader, a distinguished lawmaker, and a relentless advocate for the progress and development of the state”.
In a statement signed by Director, Public Relations and Protocol of the Polytechnic, Uredo Omale, on Thursday, the Rector congratulated Rt. Hon Yusuf on the occasion of his birthday anniversary.
He described the Speaker as a man of profound wisdom, integrity and selfless service, whose unwavering commitment to good governance is reflected in the ease with which he is coordinating the 8th Assembly and it continues to inspire hope and transformation across the state.
“Your leadership in the Kogi State House of Assembly has been a beacon of courage, fairness, and dedication to the welfare of our people. You have consistently championed policies that foster development, unity, and prosperity. Your contributions to legislative excellence and state-building are truly commendable.
“As a strong pillar of democracy, your invaluable contributions to the stability, peace, and advancement of Kogi State cannot be overemphasized and your steadfastness, resilience, and patriotic zeal has set a high standard in leadership, earning you the admiration and respect of all”, Prof Usman said.
On behalf of the management, staff and students of the Polytechnic, Prof. Usman prayed God in His infinite mercy to continue to grant the Speaker the needed wisdom, knowledge, understanding and good health to discharge his responsibilities effortlessly.
