A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Otunba Olayemi Adeniyi has described a former Deputy Governor of Kogi state, Arc. Abayomi Benjamin Awoniyi, as a cerebral politician with endearing simplicity and humility.
In a goodwill message on Wednesday, Otunba Olayemi congratulated the former Deputy Governor on his 64th birthday anniversary.
Otunba Olayemi, who was Director General of Ododo/Joel Campaign Council in Kabba-Bunu local government in 2023 Kogi Governorship Election held on November 11, 2023, noted that Arc. Awoniyi is an inspiration to many.
He stated that Arc. Awoniyi was held in admiration for his charisma, good leadership and uncommon synergy with his boss when he held sway as Deputy Governor of Kogi state between 2012 and 2016.
Otunba Olayemi said the former Deputy Governor is a committed technocrat with enviable profile.
He noted that Awoniyi did excellently well when he served on different boards of federal government agencies including Onne Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority, University Teaching Hospital, Ilorin, and Nigeria Stored Products Research Institute.
He wished Arc Awoniyi many years in good health.
