A suspected pedophile has been arraigned before a Kogi State High Court sitting in Lokoja over allegation of raping a three year old minor in Lokoja.
The suspect, Elisha Daniel, popularly known as Dankulubi, was arrested by the Police for allegedly raping a 3 year-old girl around Ganaja Junction in Lokoja in January.
The hearing of the matter commenced on Thursday.
After cross examination by counsels to Kogi State Government, Juliana Jonathan-Omale and that of the defendant, Emmanuel Ebenu, the presiding Judge, Justice A.O Salihu adjourned the case to twenty sixth of next month.
The alleged rape of the three year old had attracted reactions from people both within and outside the State with Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo condemning the act.
The Governor also vowed to ensure justice for the girl and her family.
