A frontline politician and philanthropist in Kogi State, Sani Idakwo Phillips has felicitated the new Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Miller Gajere Dantawaye, on his recent deployment to the state.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday, Idakwo described his appointment as a welcome development which would ultimately lead to the reduction of banditry and criminality currently bedeviling the state.
Idakwo urged the new CP to bring to bear his tremendous wealth of experience acquired over the years of impactful service in the Nigerian Police Force in tackling the menace of banditry and criminality which is at alarming rate in the state; employing professionalism in the discharge of his constitutional responsibility of protecting lives and property of citizens of the state.

The Police Service Commission (PSC) on Thursday approved the appointment of Miller Gajere Dantawaye as the substantive Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command
CP Dantawaye, the new Commissioner for Kogi was formerly AC Operations, FCT Police Command; AC Field Studies, Police Academy, Wudil Kano; Area Commander, Karewa Adamawa State Police Command and AC CID Oyo State Police Command.
He was also AC Admin Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU), Abuja; Area Commander, Area ‘H’ Ogudu, Lagos State, DC Operations, Yobe State Police Command, Damaturu; DC Operations, Edo State Police Command, Benin and later CP Information Technology (IT), Force Headquarters, Abuja.
