NULGE Commends Ofu LG Chairman for Commitment to Workers’ Welfare

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has commended the Chairman, Ofu local government of Kogi State, Hon. Muhammad Musa Lawal, for his commitment to workers and entire citizens of the area.

Chairman, Ofu LG branch of NULGE, Elder Comrade James Degeli, gave the commendation during the local government staff congress in Ugwolawo.

Comrade Degeli assured the local government Chairman that the people of Ofu LGA will do their best for the success of his administration.

He charged the staff of the local government council to be diligent in their commitment to duty, and called on Hon. Lawal to remember staff of the Council whenever there is a food palliative for distribution in Ofu LGA.

In his remarks, the Council Chairman, Hon Muhammad Musa Lawal charged those in authority in the local government not to tamper with whatever belongs to the people, adding that he will not spare any officer who conners what belongs to the people into his personal pocket.

Hon Muhammad Lawal, who declared himself as the chief servant in Ofu Local Government, said his administration will be staff friendly if the staff are ready to cooperate with him.

The Chairman admonished the staff of the council to be committed to their duties, saying that any staff that is committed to his duties will attract some benefits from this administration .

Hon Lawal applauded the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for its commitment to workers welfare, adding that Ofu Local Government will key into the Governor’s developmental strides for the betterment of the people.

Vice chairperson, Ofu Local Government Council, Hon Joy Ojali Omaga, called on the women workers in the LGA not to be left out in the schemes of things, stressing that the administration is women centric.

Hon Ojali, who asked the woman to be committed to their duties, also charged them to be diligent in whatever they do, saying that there is dignity in labour.

Giving a vote of thanks, the Director, Personnel Management (DPM), Comrade Muazu Alih thanked the Chairman for being open minded towards the staff, adding that the staff of the Local Government will put in their best for the success of this administration.
