In a show of strength and unity, the All Progressives Congress (APC) continued its road walk campaign today in the Eika district of Okehi Local Government Area (LGA), receiving an overwhelming response from the community.
According to Hon. Matthew James Omeiza (Spreading), Okehi local government secretary, this followed the success of a similar campaign over the weekend in Ihima, the home district of the party’s chairmanship candidate, Hon. Monday Amoka Eneji (ODU).
“Today’s event further demonstrated the widespread support for the APC ahead of the upcoming October 19 elections,” he said.
The road walk, which commenced at Uhuodo and concluded at Okaito, drew large crowds of party faithful, local leaders, and supporters.
Led by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Salami Momodu Ozigi-Deedat, the event was a powerful display of the party’s organizational strength and its growing dominance in the region. Top political office holders from across the LGA joined in, further boosting the morale of the supporters and affirming the APC’s readiness for victory.
Speaking to the press, Hon. Siyaka Yakubu Adabenege (Fancy), the Auditor General of the Local Government, praised Hon. Monday Amoka Eneji’s candidacy.
He described him as a symbol of hope and progress for Okehi LGA.
He highlighted the massive turnout at the road walk as a clear indication of the electorate’s confidence in Amoka’s leadership.
He urged all APC supporters to remain united and committed to securing a decisive victory come election day.
Adabenege noted that Okehi LGA, under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, has witnessed significant improvements that resonate with the people’s needs, solidifying the APC’s reputation as a party that delivers.
He added that the administration’s focus on the welfare of its citizens has built deep trust and loyalty among the electorate, positioning the APC as the party of choice for the upcoming elections.
“The strong presence of key stakeholders, including commissioner, Special Advisers, Senior Special assistants, Local Government assistants, Ward Special assistants and other political heavyweights, showcased the united front within the party. Their active participation underscored the leadership’s commitment to ensuring a successful election outcome and reassured voters of the party’s dedication to the local and state-level development agenda.”
