Governor Ododo Champions Local Content Policy With Bold Minimum Wage Increase – Aides

The Senior Special Assistants (SSA) on Local Contents to Kogi State Governor, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, Dr. Kamaldeen Toyin and Hon. Sanni Nuhu, have commended the governor’s bold decision to increase the minimum wage to 72,500 naira for civil servants with one year tax holiday.

In a statement they jointly signed, the Governor’s aides said the significant increase aligns with the local content policy, directly benefiting the citizens of Kogi State and demonstrating Governor Ododo’s commitment to improving their lives.

Dr. Toyin and Hon. Nuhu urged locally operating manufacturing companies to emulate Governor Ododo’s exemplary leadership by prioritizing the welfare and comfort of their employees and the community.

“Governor Ododo has set a precedent for responsible business practices in Kogi State. We encourage all local businesses to follow the governor’s lead, recognizing the importance of investing in our people.

“Having geometrically increased the Minimum Wage from the epileptic sum amount, to 72,500 naira for civil servants to meet up with the bitting demands of the workers, particularly this hard economic moment, will significantly enhancing their standard of living.

“This is in line with the Local Content Policy, which is prioritizing the welfare and comfort of Kogi State citizens through sustainable economic development.

“His excellency, Governor Ododo’s administration has consistently demonstrated a people-centered approach, focusing on; security, this is to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.
Implementing initiatives to reduce poverty and promote economic empowerment and at the same vein, upgrading critical infrastructure to support economic growth and improve living standards.

“Governor Ododo’s leadership has been noted by a steadfast commitment to the people of Kogi State.
The increased minimum wage and local content policy demonstrate his administration’s dedication to improving lives and promoting sustainable economic development,,” the aides to the Kogi State Governor on Local Contents stated.

They also encouraged local companies to adopt responsible business practices, aligning with the governor’s vision.
