Elulu Confers Yeye Oba of Mopa Chieftaincy Title on Dr Folashade Ayoade

The Elulu of Mopa and Chairman Mopamuro Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun, has pronounced the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State (SGS), Dr. Folashade Ayoade as the Yeye Oba of Mopa land.

He made the pronouncement during the visit of the SGS to his personal residence in Mopa on Monday.

Oba Ibeun said she deserved to be awarded the first chieftaincy award from him since he became the 4th Elulu of Mopa.

He said the decision to pronounce her the chieftaincy is due to her many strides in the civil service, public service, and philanthropy across Kogi State, Nigeria, and beyond.

He added that the pronouncement is a special one because it is ahead of the ongoing plans by Mopa Traditional Council to pronounce and coronate all approved chieftaincies requests in one day.

Earlier while addressing the entire Mopa Women, Dr Ayoade declared that her non-governmental organisation (NGO), the Folashade Ayoade Initiative for Women and Orphans (FAIWO), will empower 25 women in their coming outing.

She appreciated the Almighty God for the opportunity granted to her and for installing Oba Ibeun as the Elulu of Mopa.

She said ordinarily doesn’t receive chieftaincy titles, but since it is coming from Oba Ibeun, she has accepted this.

She promised to make the official coronation ceremony and elaborate one that would make Mopa people and everyone proud.

She urged the people of Mopa, especially the women, to continually and fervently pray for the Elulu, as he remains the choice of God for the development of Mopa, Okunland, and he is a royalty to reckon with across the globe.

The Balogun of Mopa, Rt. Hon. Clarence Olafemi, while giving his remarks attested to the good deeds of Dr Ayoade as earlier mentioned by the host of the occasion, Hon. Elvis Oluwasegun Abereoran and others.

He said Dr Ayoade’s good deeds and excellent proficiencies in her duty as the are reasons why she is the first SGS to work with two Governors in Kogi State.

Speaking on behalf of the women, Mrs. Alice Komolafe appreciated Elulu for using his influence and resources to bring infrastructural and human development to Mopa. She also appreciated the SGS for her benevolence and philanthropy to empower Mopa women.
