We wish as a group to thank Nigerians for their support for the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration even in the face of the present national protest organised by the opponents of this administration masquerading as the lovers of the masses but were not but only carrying out a script just to destabilise the nation for their personal and rent seeking interest. You can all recall that even before the commencement of the national protest tagged the #End bad governance protest, we as a group had admonished all Nigerians that at this time in the history of our country the then proposed national protest was not necessary because it can be used for political and self seeking interest to cause mayhem of unimaginable proportion to our country. We also admonish Nigerians to give peace a chance by giving the President more time to address our complains because he had heard us clearly even though protest is a constitutional guaranteed rights of all citizens.

We had also agreed with all Nigerians that the situation in the country is indeed very hard and the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu needed to expedite actions to bring succour to all Nigerians by listening to their complaints. The protest as we warned going by the reports available to us all over the country have been hijacked by common criminals, militants, terrorists, and even politicians from the axis of evil who could not wait for the next election to test their popularity leaving in its wake sorrow, agony, wanton destruction of properties worth billions of naira, anguish and the lost of many lives. As patriotic Nigerians, we must accept that no government no matter how benevolent will fold its hands and allow this to fester. The first function of any government we must accept is the security and welfare of the country. The major intention of the organisers of this protest is today very clear to us all, it was not only about the hunger in the land used only as a smokescreen to woo gullible Nigerians to join but a protest only meant to destabilise the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from carrying out his major reform programmes which had led to the destabilization of this rent seeking greedy filled Nigerians who are in the minority feeding fat on the wealth of the country.

We as a group commend the President for having the courage to agree that the people have the right to protest and allowing the protest to go on even though he have the might to contain the protest. He indeed had shown that he is a born Democrat. We also commend the President for addressing the nation after he had allowed the people to protest and airing their grieviances, demands and suggestions on the way forward for the country. The President had during the broadcast made by him acknowledged that things are indeed bad and as a listening father asked the citizens to give him more time to address our national challenge and reeling out the various reform initiatives the government is implementing to bring succour to the people. The President had mention the signing of the new minimum wage into law, the grants made available to manufacturers to enable them manufacture more home made products, the conditional cash transfer schemes to vulnerable Nigerians, the student loan scheme, the attempt to resuscitate our textiles industries in Kano and Kaduna which have the potentials to employ many Nigerian job seekers and many more laudable scheme and palliatives to bring succour to the citizens.

The last three to four days of this protest had been anything but dangerous for our country. There was a lot of looting, destructions of properties of government and well meaning citizens of the country, deaths and above all the hosting of a foreign flag in a country like Nigeria that is a sovereign country which must not be allowed to continue because it is a treasonable offence. We commend the men and women of the armed forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for their professionalism during the protest not forgetting the police force and all other para military organisations who played their lawful assigned roles in protecting the citizens throughout the period of this protest. The government must now take the bull by the horn by investigating those who hosted the Russian flag in our country and their sponsors and finally prosecuting them according to the dictates of the law of the land to serve as deterrent to others in the future.

We must now stop the protest and accepting the appeal by the President to stop because our president has the capacity if given more time to solve the problems confronting our nation today. As citizens committed to the peace, growth and developments and stability of our country, we are appealing for the understanding of all patriotic Nigerians at this time and we must resolve also to continue to make sacrifices for our country as we are sure that with the commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to our national cause there is indeed light at the end of the tunnel. We must not make the enemies of our country to succeed because a pessimist is a well informed optimist.

Fellow Nigerians, we are sure we shall prevail.
