The Association of Medical Laboratory Scientist of Nigeria (AMLSN), Kogi state branch, has congratulated Dr. Folashade Ayoade on her reappointment as Secretary to the State Government.
AMLSN delegation, on a courtesy visit on Thursday, said Dr Ayoade’s reappointment made her the longest serving SSG in Nigeria.
Newly elected Chairman of the association, Comrade Obajemu Samuel, urged the SSG to use her good office to impress it on the state government to look into the welfare of medical laboratory scientists in the state.
He commended the Governor Usman Ododo-led administration for starting on a good note by making the welfare of civil servants a top priority.
Comrade Obajemu expressed gratitude to the SSG for supporting the hosting of the NEC meeting and annual public health lecture of the Association which was graced by the high and mighty of the profession nationwide last year.
AMLSN commended Dr Ayoade for her benevolent heart towards the down trodden, orphans and aged with her initiative, the Folashade Ayoade Initiative for Widows and Orphans (FAIWO). The Association promised to be part of this initiative by supporting the foundation in their little way.
The SSG, who addressed members of AMLSN as professional colleagues, having worked in the food and drug laboratory in NAFDAC, urged them to value quality in the discharge of their duties.
She assured the Association of the Governor Ododo-led administration’s avowed commitment to the health security of Kogites.
Dr Ayoade assured that their demands will be looked into by the appropriate quarters to aid optimal service delivery.
She thanked God for sparing her through birth, times of disappointments, denials and hopelessness, while acknowleding the involvement of God in her path to greatness which she said was divinely orchestrated.
She encouraged everyone to trust in God, be diligent and focused on their endeavors.
