Forum Tasks Funsho Olumoko on Uniting Ijumu Politicians

The Director General of Ododo Joel Campaign Council in Kogi West in the last November 11th governorship election in Kogi State, Hon. Funsho Olumoko, has been challenged to unite political office holders from Ijumu local government area for the peace, progress and development of the area.

The assignment was given to Hon. Olumoko, a former Caretaker Chairman of the Local Government at the annual Ijumu Consultative Forum meeting held at the palace of Olujumu of Ijumu in Iyara.

Recall that Hon. Olumoko delivered Kogi West to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last governorship election with landslide votes, a record that has been lauded by many including the State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello.

The move to give the former Ijumu Local Government Caretaker Chairman the task was suggested by the Olugbede of Gbede land, following the disunity and lack of government signature in terms of projects a d development in the last 8 years.

The meeting after the suggestion unanimously agreed that Hon. Olumoko, a humble and strategic politician, should take up the responsibility as the local government cannot afford to remain at its current state of disunity particularly among the political class.

In his response, Hon. Funsho Olumoko promised to carryout the responsibility with all diligence, describing the assignment as a call to serve his people of Ijumu Kingdom.

He expressed optimism that the task will be successful, saying Ijumu is the trigger for Kogi state politics in terms of human resources.
