The Special Adviser on Domestic Affairs to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Hon. Abdulrazaq Aminu (Okakanda) had said that, every indigene of Kogi State will have reasons to again appreciate Governor Yahaya Bello and be more thrilled once Alhaji Usman Ododo hit the ground running as the sixth Executive Governor of Kogi State.
Speaking on Tuesday, Okakanda who campaigned vigorously at the grassroots to seek for the election of Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said Kogi residents would be more appreciative of Governor Yahaya Bello for giving them Alh. Ododo as his successor and that by the time the Governor-elect is sworn in and begin to implement his vision for the state, they will be more ecstatic and likewise double their love for him.
Okakanda said, Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration’s “unprecedented” achievements have endeared him to a large number of Kogi people, adding that once Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman continues on that pedestal of a united leadership and development approaches, kogites and most importantly the opposition members of the state will have no option than to appreciate him for the choice of Alh. Ododo.
He added that Governor Yahaya Bello’s government initiated and successfully executed development projects that stimulated economic growth and created jobs, which have led to improvements in the lives of the people over the years.
“Our people know the leaders that love them. They appreciate meritorious service and they are happy for the unprecedented achievements of Governor Bello in the last seven years. The opposition who voted for tribal agenda only needed reorientation and if truly they place the state far above their interest, they will have no reason but to be appreciative the moment they see more developments happening in the state under the watch of Alh. Ododo”.
“Although, I understand that the massive electoral support they gave APC is a clear indication that the people of Kogi have wholeheartedly embraced Governor Bello’s efforts in his administration”.
“The overwhelming and unprecedented turnouts cum the landslide of the result is more of a vote of confidence of Gov Bello’s achievements over the last seven years which is both fulfilling and a pointer that Alh. Ododo who was a key component of the system and now the Governor-elect will redouble his efforts towards more projects and greater dedication to duty”.
The New Direction administration under the leadership of Governor Bello operates a government that is open and transparent. The Administration engages and connects with the people on a regular basis by rendering reports of her stewardship to them”. He added
Okakanda further said that the Governor-elect, Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman is committed to doing more for our people and once inaugurated to takeoff, an evaluation from every kogite a while after will only result to more appreciation to Governor Bello for his spirit of togetherness, developments and likewise bringing a person like Alh. Ododo with same traits.
