Following the approval of the Kogi State Executive Council in a meeting presided over by Governor Yahaya Bello, to grade and upgrade 351 traditional stools in the state, the member representing Igalamela/Odolu State Constituency, Hon. Enefola Major has commended the governor for “once again demonstrating his respect for traditional rulers in the state.”

Addressing constituents in Ajaka, the lawmaker also stated that “it is worthy of note that no other administration in the history of Kogi State has been more active in the upgrading of traditional stools more than the administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello. This is a clear indication of the readiness of the governor to accord traditional rulers their rightful honour and dignity as custodians of our great culture and heritage.

“I heartily congratulate all the 351 traditional rulers, especially members of the Igalamela/Odolu Traditional Council.”

“I also humbly appeal to our great traditional rulers to see the noble gesture of the State Executive Council and our visionary governor as an opportunity to equally upgrade their respective levels of dedication to the protection and promotion of our cultural heritage for the benefit of the wider society.”
