Ododo, Ohere Should Leave God, Emotions, Pride Out of Politics and Do the Needful

Let’s stop deceiving ourselves, God is never involved in any form of democratic practice because democracy is the government of the people and not the government of God.

In this case, the people decide who rules them; they formulate policies on how they should be ruled! Was God part of those that wrote the Constitution? No! Then why involving God in politics?

Just like in the game of football, God is never a supporter of anybody when it comes to politics (Democracy), you just have to play your game well!

I know we Africans are too religious but believe me, it’s time we start wising up! God does not like intruding in the affairs of men, especially when it comes to politics. He only intervenes through His superior routes known as theocracy!

Believe me, if Natasha would have traveled to Mecca or Jerusalem to fast and pray for days or months for the reclamation of her ‘mandate’ without following the due constitutional processes and applying political strategies where necessary, she would have failed woefully!

Okay, wait! Do you think Natasha was confused or stupid when she decamped from SDP to PDP? No! She understood the tactics and she applied them tenaciously.

In the same vein, if Usman Ododo doesn’t play his political game well, no matter the volume of prayer he does, he will lose to an opposition party. Likewise his opponents, if they do not set their tactics well, they will lose woefully to Ododo.

On the issue of pride and emotion, please get it clear that without any prejudice, Usman Ododo will start losing the governorship seat if he advises or allows Ohere to appeal the Tribunal’s judgement on Natasha’s victory.

Let’s be rational here! Calculate it very well, there’s no time! The energy you want to use to appeal at this crucial moment should be synergize towards winning the governorship race!

This is politics! Leave emotions and God out of it and know that on a long run, “Our Own, and their Own” are two different things.

Ododo and Ohere should note that aside power, logicality can be used to win a contest; and that was simply what Natasha used in reclaiming her mandate. If I’m Usman Ododo, I will advise Ohere to accept his fate, drop the case and work with me while I compensate him with a political offer.

Before Ohere will start throwing punches of no relevance, Usman Ododo should be reminded that Ohere heading to Appeal at this crucial time may jeopardize his (Ododo’s) governorship ambition.

Chances are that if APC as a ruling party does not play her game well, the representatives may lose at both ends because, Muri Ajaka is not sleeping, Dino is not playing even if it looks like he is; Natasha is a tool that can be judiciously harnessed and utilized for a victory; Austin Okai is a threat that can be used for or against a cause; and some other tools too are waiting to be watered and used by the highest political bidder.

Painfully, instead of Ododo to call Ohere to order, plan rationally together and be focused, Ohere wants to fight unnecessarily at the expense of Ododo’s governorship ambition.

Well, I wish everyone of them the best and I wish Kogi State the best of luck!
