Chief Chief Isa Salifu Egah, PhD, will on the 24th June 2023 be conferred with the honorary chieftaincy title of Akingbade of Ekinrin-Adde Land by the Olu-Adde of Ekinrin-Adde, Olu Anthony Bamigbaye Idowu, (Ahe Maworo 1) ACA, CON and the Olu-Adde in-Council.
Spokesman of Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association (EACDA), Victor Adewale Adekanye made this known in a media briefing during the week, confirming that Dr. Isa Salifu Egah was considered for the honorary chieftaincy award for his heart beat for the wellbeing of humanity and also for his good relationship with the good people of Ekinrin-Adde community.
Chief Isa Salifu Egah, who was born in Agbeji-Ayangba, Dekina LGA of Kogi State, in the early 60s to the family of Alhaji and Alhaja Salifu Egah (Aju Akwu Lineage), had his early Primary Education at Agbeji (FSLC: 1974), his WASC (Div. One) from ECSS, Ofugo (1979) and A’Ls from SBS, Ugbokolo (1981).
He proceeded to ABU, Zaria for his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting (Second Class, Upper Division) 1981 – 1984, under 21years old; his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from ABU, Zaria (1988 – 1990) and Master of Science Degree in Technology Innovation and Development of SMEs from Osun State University, Ago-Iwoye (1998 – 1999).
He earned his PhD after a successful doctoral program in Security and Strategic Studies at Nasarawa State University, Keffi (Feb 2021).
An accomplished and consummate banker, Dr Salifu’s work experience took him through a sojourn of over two decades across the Nigerian banking space. Crossing over from finance/consulting space after school, he joined New Africa Merchant Bank in 1991 on a career journey that took him through best in form, eight other Nigerian banks – Gulf Bank, Intercity Bank, Diamond Bank, Intercontinental Bank, City Express Bank, Diamond Bank, Afribank and Ecobank, respectively.
Dr Salifu worked nearly across all core departments of the banking sector, particularly in relationship marketing/management, Branch Management, Treasury Operations and Foreign Exchange Department in management and held Senior Management positions – Manager, Group Head, Divisional Head and Regional Head, respectively.
He rose to Deputy General Manager, a senior Management position in Ecobank Nigeria Limited (one of the SIBs in the country), overseeing Corporate Banking Group, North Geography. Dr Salifu has transversed the Nigerian banking landscape, leaving his footprints on the sands of time and taking an early exit after an illustrious career in banking (29years) to explore opportunities in other spheres of life.
An illustrious Kogi son, Dr Salifu in one of his engagements as a Regional Head, FCT Region was reckoned to have established six (6) branches of his Bank in the State, within two (2) years, employed/empowered so many Kogi sons and daughters. He is a shining star of a grassroot/community boy.
His philanthropy has no limit, providing succour to the aged, widows, orphans and indigent in his community. Through his Foundation, Dr Salifu has continued to support the education of orphans and indigent children in his Community. Though a muslim, his religious tolerance is uncommon, accommodating and supporting all faiths in his community. He has built Mosques and Churches in his Community, sponsored so many Muslims and Christians alike, on pilgrimage to Makkah and Jerusalem, respectively. He is a distinguished Banker, a Chartered Accountant, Certified Forensic and Fraud Investigator, Tax Consultant and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC). He is currently the Managing Partner/CEO of ClearBase Consultancy Services, a top flight Consulting firm with Head Office in Abuja,

Dr Salifu is a man of impeccable character, a core professional and an uncommon philanthropist with tremendous respect for Traditional Institutions. He is indeed a role model and our pride. For his outstanding qualities and contributions to Igala Land, Dr Isa Egah Salifu was recognized and beaded by HRH, Alhaji (Dr) Usman Obaje, OON, OIK, FNIJ (Agaagwu) as the Omachi Ejeh Dekina (Waali) in May 2021.
He enjoyed playing tennis, reading, travelling and philanthropy. Dr. Isa Salifu Egah is happily married with lovely kids.
