Winners Emerge in Augustine Shina Akande Annual Essay Competition

This year’s edition of Augustine Shina Akande Annual Essay Competition has been concluded.

The selection committee reviewed over 10 essay submissions and three pupils emerged winner, first and second runners up respectively.

Omalabu Lois of Holy Ghost College, Okura, Dekina local government area of Kogi state emerged overall winner of the competition.

Fastina Joseph of Holy Ghost College, Okura, Dekina, was adjudged first runner up, while Joy Osepere Mosugu of Celebrity International School, Lokongoma, Lokoja, emerged second runner up.

The winners would be awarded cash prizes on a virtual call scheduled to hold on Saturday, 04 March 2023, 5 P.M. Nigerian time.

The competition is an initiative of Canada-based Kogite, Augustine Shina Akande, who believes that education is a universal equalizer and is committed to contributing his quota to the advancement of education in his state of Kogi.

It plans to be an annual event for current secondary school students enrolled in schools across Kogi State.
