Rep. Halims Set to Flag-Off Construction of Uko Bridge, Rehabilitation of Ajobe-Akatampia Road

Member representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives and Chairman of the House Committee on Steel Development, Rep. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims will, on Saturday, flag-off two mega road projects across the federal constituency in continuation of his rural developmental efforts.

The two projects to be flagged off are Uko Biraidu Bridge in Okpo district, Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State and rehabilitation of Ajobe to Akatampia Road with the construction of drainage at Ajobe in Ojoku district, Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Both events will be taking place on Saturday, 28th January, 2023 by Okpo and Ajobe by 10.00am and 2.00pm respectively.

In a statement issued by the Federal Lawmaker’s Coordinator of Information, Visual and Strategic (IVS) Operations, Muhammed Nasiru, he emphasised that legacy projects as these are the kind of things his principal, Rep. Halims is mainstreaming in his stewardship of Ankpa Federal Constituency,

He called on other elected officials to emulate him for the greater good of the area.

Speaking further, he described the ongoing erosion control and drainage works at Abejukolo in Omala Local Government Area, the gully erosion control works with standard drainage system at Ejinya – Efofe and the already completed five kilometres asphalt overlaying on Ojede New layout road at Ankpa by the Federal Lawmaker as projects that deserve high commendation by people of goodwill.

While calling on all to grace the very epoch promised event, Muhammed equally affirmed that the contractors had assured that both projects will be completed within the shortest time possible.
